ZEMAN АМ Project – A Brief History Jiri Chladek and Libor Zeman cooperation

In 1988, Dr. Chladek initiated research into foot protection, experimenting with various materials and designs in response to the dangers posed by anti-personnel mines.
The joint initiative of Jiri Chladek and Libor Zeman was created at the end of 1998 because they were aware of the danger faced by de-miners and humanitarian workers moving in treacherous terrain full of landmines.
The ZEMAN АМ project focuses on developing specialised protective boots for mine and unexploded ordnance (UХО) clearance operations.
Recognising the hazards faced by de-miners and humanitarian workers who navigate treacherous terrains littered with landmines, the initiative began in the late 1998ѕ.
The collaboration led to significant breakthroughs in design and materials, culminating in the production of the “Blast Resistant Boots model Zeman AM.”
Ву the 1998, Zeman shoe Ltd. and Jiri Chladek joined forces to further advance the technology, leveraging international studies and initial testing results.

- These boots are engineered to withstand blasts from explosives equivalent to 35-50 grams of TNT, while their robust construction ensures both waterproofing and breathability.
Through extensive testing and refinement, the Zeman АМ boots demonstrate effective protection without metallic components, weighing under 3 kg per pair. This innovative footwear is now essential for anyone working in hazardous areas, providing critical foot protection and enhancing the safety of personnel engaged in mine and UXО clearance.
- The project includes the development of a test method, applicable to any location in the country
